I Choose Worship Over Worry

Reflection

When we take time to appreciate God—not just for what He’s done, but for who He is—our hearts are transformed. Gratitude draws us close to His presence. It reminds us that even when life feels uncertain, His nature remains constant: He is good, faithful, and full of mercy.

Sometimes, we get so focused on our requests that we forget to pause and adore. But the Spirit invites us today to shift from asking to appreciating. When we slow down to recognize God’s character—His patience, wisdom, kindness, and strength—we begin to rest in His heart.

As you reflect on His goodness, let gratitude overflow. Appreciation is a form of worship—it lifts our eyes from ourselves and fixes them on the One who never changes.

Daily Practice

Write down three things you appreciate about God today. Consider His attributes—His love, patience, faithfulness, or wisdom. Speak them out loud as a declaration of praise.

✍️ Journal Prompt

What are three things you deeply appreciate about God’s character? How have you personally experienced each of these qualities in your life?

Prayer

Father,
I thank You not only for what You do but for who You are. You are good, faithful, and full of love. Thank You for Your mercy that never ends and Your patience that never fails. Help me to live in continual appreciation of Your unchanging nature.
Amen.
