Reflection

God’s voice is not distant or cold—it is gentle, personal, and full of love. Through His Spirit, He speaks to our hearts with truth, correction, encouragement, and assurance. But to hear Him, we must slow down and make space for stillness.

When you sit quietly and invite the Lord to speak, you are positioning your heart for intimacy. His words may come as Scripture that rises in your spirit, a sense of peace, or a loving reminder of who you are in Him. Listening for God is less about hearing an audible voice and more about recognizing His presence and the thoughts He plants in your heart.

Today’s practice invites you to write from that place of stillness—imagining God’s words of love and truth being written directly to you. This sacred exercise helps tune your heart to His.

Daily Practice

Sit in solitude for 30 minutes. Ask the Lord to speak to your heart. Then, take a pen and write a letter beginning with, “My beloved child…” Let your words reflect what you sense God would say—encouragement, guidance, or reminders of His love.

✍️ Journal Prompt

What do you sense God saying to you in this season? How does His voice bring comfort, clarity, or correction?

Prayer

Lord,
Teach me to recognize Your voice above all others. As I sit in Your presence, quiet my heart so I can hear You clearly. Write Your truth upon my spirit and remind me of Your unfailing love. May Your words shape my day and guide my steps.
Amen.
