September 6 – Today, what are 3 things that you appreciate about your day?
💖 Scripture for the Day
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1
Reflection
Appreciation opens our eyes to God’s fingerprints in everyday life. It’s easy to focus on what’s missing or what went wrong, but the Spirit redirects our gaze to notice the quiet mercies of the Lord: a kind word, the beauty of creation, the strength to finish a task, or even the simple gift of breath.
When we practice appreciation, our hearts grow softer and lighter. Gratitude shifts us from complaint to contentment, from scarcity to abundance. The Spirit uses these reflections to remind us of God’s goodness that is steady, unchanging, and present in every season.
Daily Practice
Pause today and write down three things you appreciate about your day. As you do, thank God for each one specifically. Let this practice draw you into a deeper awareness of His daily care.
✍️ Journal Prompt
What are the three things you wrote down? How do they reveal God’s faithfulness in the small and ordinary parts of life?
Prayer
Father, Thank You for the countless blessings You weave into my days. Teach me to slow down and notice them. Give me eyes to see Your hand in the ordinary and a heart that responds with gratitude. May appreciation flow from me and bring glory to You. Amen.
