“I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.” – Proverbs 8:17
Proverbs 5–8 speaks with urgency and clarity, warning us against seductive paths that lead to destruction and calling us toward wisdom that leads to life. Solomon paints vivid contrasts—between the alluring voice of folly and the noble voice of wisdom. These chapters address real temptations, especially the pull of sexual immorality and the deceitfulness of sin. At the same time, they elevate the beauty of wisdom as something to be cherished like a hidden treasure. The fear of the Lord becomes the gateway to discernment, and Lady Wisdom stands in the streets, publicly inviting all who will listen. Wisdom isn’t hidden—it’s calling. Will we hear?
