💖 Scripture of the Day:

“Despite their fear… they built the altar on its foundation.” — Ezra 3:3

Woman Reading Bible with Coffee

The book of Ezra opens with a message of hope—God moves the heart of King Cyrus to let the Jewish exiles return and rebuild the temple. The people respond in faith, laying the foundation amid joy and tears. Yet opposition arises, and construction halts. These opening chapters set the tone for a journey of restoration marked by both God’s providence and the challenges of obedience. It’s a story of fresh beginnings rooted in ancient promises, and of courage to act despite fear. The blend of celebration and sorrow reflects the emotional weight of reclaiming what was lost. As the people take their first steps home, we see that every spiritual rebuild begins with both a call from God and a response from the heart.
