Story Saturday:

As we continue our May series, “Living with Purpose: Walking Boldly in Your Calling,” today’s focus is on sharing testimonies of how God has clarified our callings. These stories serve as powerful reminders of His guidance and faithfulness.
A Moment of Clarity
There was a time when I felt adrift, uncertain of my purpose. Despite being active in my faith, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was missing something. I prayed, asking God to reveal His plan for me.
One evening, during a quiet moment of reflection, I came across Matthew 6:33:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
This verse resonated deeply. It was as if God was speaking directly to me, urging me to prioritize Him above all else. In that moment, I realized that my calling wasn’t about a specific job or role—it was about seeking God wholeheartedly and trusting Him to guide my steps. And again in John 17, another verse resonated with me:
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
It reminded me that the one true, main purpose of life is to know God and to grow in the knowledge of God (1 Peter 1:10b), and that eveything else we do in this life will flow out of that connection with God.
Embracing the Journey
Since that revelation, my perspective has shifted. I’ve learned that our callings can evolve over time, and that’s okay. What’s important is staying connected to God, allowing Him to lead us, and being open to where He directs us.
As Romans 8:28 reminds us:
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Even when the path is unclear, we can trust that God is working everything for our good.
