What Are You Praying for This February?

February: New Month, New Growth

A new month brings fresh beginnings, renewed hope, and another opportunity to grow in faith. February, often called the month of love, is not just about Valentine’s Day or romantic gestures—it’s also a time to reflect on God’s love and how it’s shaping us.

As we step into this new month, I want to ask you a simple but powerful question: What is one thing you’re praying for this February?

Hello February with ice heart glowing in winter sunset

Maybe you’re praying for strength to get through a difficult season. Maybe you’re asking God for wisdom in a decision. Perhaps you’re seeking deeper peace, healing, or the courage to step into something new. Whatever it is, know that your prayers matter. God hears them, and He is working in ways you may not yet see.

A Season of Growth

Each new month is like a fresh page in the story God is writing for our lives. Just as the trees don’t stay the same season after season, neither do we. Growth is a constant part of our journey with Christ.

Sometimes growth is exciting—when doors open, when prayers are answered, when we feel God’s presence so clearly. Other times, growth is hard—when we face setbacks, when we feel lost, when we wonder if our prayers are even being heard.

I remember a season not too long ago when I felt completely stuck. I had been praying for direction, asking God to show me the next step, but it felt like all I got in return was silence. It was frustrating. I wanted clarity, and I wanted it now. But in that waiting season, I learned something valuable—God doesn’t waste the waiting. Even when we don’t see immediate change, He is still growing us, stretching our faith, and deepening our trust in Him.

Eventually, when the answer did come, I realized God had been preparing my heart all along. If He had given me what I asked for too soon, I wouldn’t have been ready. That experience taught me that growth often happens in the unseen places, in the moments we least expect.

And that’s why Philippians 1:6 is one of my favorite reminders:

“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

This verse is such a powerful reminder that God is not finished with us. Whatever He has started in you—whether it’s healing, transformation, a new calling, or a deeper faith—He is still working. You may not see the full picture yet, but trust that He is moving.

Bringing Our Prayers Before God

Sometimes, we hesitate to bring our requests before God because we feel they are too small, too big, or not worthy of His time. We might think, “God has bigger things to handle,” or “I should be strong enough to deal with this myself.” But that’s not what God asks of us.

1 Peter 5:7 says:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

Not some of your anxieties. Not just the ones that feel ‘spiritual enough.’ All of them. God is not burdened by your prayers—He is honored by them. He wants to hear from you, and He is faithful to respond in His perfect timing and way.

So, what is on your heart today? What are you trusting God for this month? Whether it’s guidance, healing, restoration, provision, or peace, He is listening.

Encouragement for This Month

As we enter February, let’s take a moment to reflect on God’s goodness. No matter what last month held—joys or struggles—this new month is an opportunity to refocus our hearts and renew our faith.

Here are a few ways to cultivate spiritual growth this month:

  • Start each day with prayer – Even if it’s just a few minutes, intentionally invite God into your day.
  • Speak life over your circumstances – Choose faith over fear, even when things feel uncertain.
  • Encourage someone else – When we uplift others, we are also strengthened.
  • Stay rooted in Scripture – Let God’s Word be your anchor, guiding you in every decision and season.

This February, let’s commit to seeking God in all things—big and small. Let’s trust that He is working, even in the waiting. Let’s hold onto His promises and step forward in faith.
