💖 Scripture of the Day:
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given… and the government will be on his shoulders.” – Isaiah 9:6
Isaiah 8–10 plunges us into a time of national crisis and spiritual confusion. The prophet delivers warnings about judgment, false alliances, and misplaced trust—but also offers glimmers of hope. We are introduced to the theme of Emmanuel, “God with us,” not only as comfort but as a dividing line. We see God’s anger kindled against injustice and arrogance, yet His promises still unfold with clarity and power. These chapters call us to discernment, reverence, and trust in the God who governs history.
📙 Overview of Isaiah 8–10
- 🔹 Chapter 8 — A sign against Judah: “God is with us” becomes both warning and comfort.
- 🔹 Chapter 9 — Light shines in darkness; the promised child will reign in righteousness.
- 🔹 Chapter 10 — Assyria’s pride judged; God preserves a faithful remnant.
📢 The Light That Breaks the Darkness
Isaiah 8–10 reveals a God who warns, corrects, and redeems. Even in judgment, His heart is set on restoration. He calls us to reject fear and cling to His promises. When darkness surrounds us, He sends light—a child, a King, a Savior. May we lean on Him, listen for His voice, and trust His eternal reign.

✨ Encouragement of the Day
Isaiah’s vision of God’s holiness in chapter 6 is both terrifying and transforming. It reminds us that true calling begins with seeing God rightly. And even in the midst of corruption and chaos, God offers us signs of His presence and purposes. He does not leave us to guess our way through life—He speaks, cleanses, calls, and equips.

💬 Discussion Question
Why do you think seeing God’s holiness was necessary before Isaiah could accept his calling? How has awe shaped your obedience?
🙏 Prayer: Holy God, I come before You like Isaiah—aware of my unclean lips and broken ways. Yet You are the God who forgives, cleanses, and calls. Let Your holiness shape me. Make me bold to say yes to Your assignments. May I trust in Your presence more than I fear any threat. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
