April 2nd Devotional:
🌟 Scripture Reflection: 1 John 1:7 🌟
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

Walking in the Light: A Call to Leadership and Influence
Leadership isn’t just about directing others—it’s about setting an example through the way we live. Whether we recognize it or not, we all have influence in some capacity. We may lead in our families, our workplaces, our churches, or even among our friends. The question is not whether we lead but how we lead.
When we walk in the light, as 1 John 1:7 calls us to, we step into leadership that reflects Christ. Walking in the light means living with honesty, integrity, and love. It means that our actions and words align with God’s truth, allowing His light to shine through us so others may be drawn to Him.
The Characteristics of a Leader Who Walks in the Light
✅ Transparency & Honesty – True leadership does not rely on deception or manipulation. Walking in the light means being truthful, even when it’s difficult.
✅ Seeking God’s Wisdom – Before making decisions, we seek God’s guidance through prayer and His Word. The best leaders are those who submit to the ultimate Leader—Christ.
✅ Leading with Humility – A leader who walks in the light doesn’t seek to exalt themselves but to serve others. Jesus, the greatest leader of all, washed His disciples’ feet, showing that leadership is about service, not status.
✅ Encouraging Others – Walking in the light means helping others step into their God-given calling. We don’t hoard knowledge, opportunities, or influence—we use them to uplift and inspire those around us.
Why This Matters Now
As we enter this new season, many of us feel called to take on new roles or responsibilities. Maybe God is asking you to lead a Bible study, take a step forward in your career, or be a voice of encouragement to a friend in need. No matter where He’s calling you, know this: He doesn’t expect you to lead alone.
Walking in the light isn’t about being perfect—it’s about staying connected to the One who is perfect. When we walk in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the cleansing grace of Jesus. That means we don’t have to lead out of our own strength. Instead, we rely on His presence, His wisdom, and His grace.
