The closing chapters of Zechariah move from sorrow to glory, from rejection to redemption. Here we see both the pain of Israel’s unfaithfulness and the promise of God’s ultimate restoration through the Messiah. The Shepherd is rejected and valued at thirty pieces of silver — a prophecy later fulfilled in Jesus. Yet the story doesn’t end in betrayal. God promises to defend His people, pour out His Spirit, and establish His kingdom forever. These chapters remind us that even in times of rejection or suffering, God is sovereignly weaving His redemptive plan toward triumph and renewal.
