💖 Scripture of the Day:
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Matthew 10–12 reveals the growing tension between Jesus’ message and the world’s resistance to it. Jesus commissions His disciples to go out with power and purpose, warning them that following Him will bring both miracles and opposition. As His ministry expands, so does the controversy — but so does His compassion. Even when challenged by the Pharisees, Jesus continues to heal, forgive, and extend mercy. These chapters remind us that discipleship involves both mission and endurance. The cost is real, but the reward — walking with the King — is greater still.
📖 Overview of Matthew 10–12
🔹 Matthew 10 – Jesus sends out the twelve disciples with instructions for their mission.
🔹 Matthew 11 – John the Baptist questions Jesus, and Christ affirms His divine mission.
🔹 Matthew 12 – Jesus heals, teaches about the Sabbath, and declares Himself Lord over all.
💠 The Call, the Cost, and the Comfort
Matthew 10–12 reminds us that following Jesus involves both sacrifice and grace. He sends us out with purpose, strengthens us in trials, and offers rest in Himself. The mission is great, the world is weary, but our Savior reigns with mercy and power. In His call, we find courage; in His presence, we find peace.
