In Matthew 6–9, Jesus continues revealing what it means to live under God’s kingdom. Through His teaching and miracles, He demonstrates both the heart and power of the King. In the Sermon on the Mount, He corrects outward religion and calls for inner transformation — prayer, humility, trust, and love. Then, as He begins performing miracles, we see His compassion in action: healing the sick, calming storms, and forgiving sins. These chapters remind us that Jesus’ kingdom is not about appearances but about a transformed heart, lived out in trust, obedience, and faith in His authority.

📖 Overview of Matthew 6–9

🔹 Matthew 6 – Jesus teaches about giving, prayer, fasting, and trusting God’s provision.
🔹 Matthew 7 – He warns against hypocrisy, false prophets, and calls for wise obedience.
🔹 Matthew 8 – Jesus performs miracles that reveal His authority over sickness, nature, and evil.
🔹 Matthew 9 – He heals the paralyzed, calls Matthew, raises the dead, and restores sight — showing mercy over judgment.

💠 The Heart and Power of the King

Matthew 6–9 paints a complete picture of the kingdom — the heart that trusts and the King who reigns. Jesus calls His followers to authentic devotion, grounded in love, not performance. Through His teachings and miracles, we see that He alone brings peace, healing, and purpose. The one who seeks Him first finds everything else in its rightful place.
