💖 Scripture of the Day:
“For all have sinned… and all are justified freely by His grace.” — Romans 3:23–24
Romans 1–4 opens Paul’s most theologically rich letter by laying the foundation of the Gospel. Paul shows that all humanity — Jew and Gentile alike — is in need of salvation, because all have sinned. But in the middle of this sobering truth, he unveils the breathtaking hope of justification by faith. Righteousness is not earned, achieved, or inherited — it is given freely by God through Jesus Christ. These chapters remind us that the Gospel is the power of God to save, revealing both the depth of human need and the greatness of God’s grace.
📖 Overview of Romans 1–4
🔹 Romans 1 – The Gospel’s power and the reality of humanity’s rebellion against God.
🔹 Romans 2 – God’s righteous judgment applies to all; outward religion cannot save.
🔹 Romans 3 – All have sinned, but God offers righteousness freely through faith in Christ.
🔹 Romans 4 – Abraham is the example of justification by faith, not by works or law.
💠 Righteousness Revealed Through Faith
Romans 1–4 lays the essential groundwork of the Gospel. All have sinned, all are accountable, and all are invited into God’s grace through faith in Christ. Righteousness is not earned but given — and this truth becomes the foundation for a life transformed by God’s love.
