As David nears the end of his reign, he doesn’t slow down—he organizes. In these chapters, David prepares the Levites, priests, musicians, gatekeepers, and officials for orderly worship and temple service. There is wisdom, intention, and sacred purpose behind every assignment. This wasn’t busywork; it was holy work. David understood that worshiping God was not random or casual, but something worthy of reverence and order. His preparations show deep respect for God’s presence and a commitment to help future generations do the same.
