💖 Scripture of the Day

“Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God… I have heard you.” — 2 Chronicles 34:27

Woman Reading Bible with Coffee

These final chapters of 2 Chronicles show the spiritual highs and tragic lows of Judah’s last kings. Josiah brings a powerful revival, rediscovering God’s law and cleansing the land. But after his death, rebellion and idolatry return. The people’s hearts are hardened, and despite prophetic warnings, judgment comes. The temple is destroyed, and exile follows. Yet even in ruin, hope remains—God’s promises endure. His covenant still stands, and through the line of David, a future restoration is foretold. These chapters remind us that while God’s patience may have limits, His love and plans never fail. In our darkest seasons, He is still at work.
