💖 Scripture of the Day:
“‘I am with you,’ declares the Lord.” — Haggai 1:13
The book of Haggai is a short but powerful call to action. After years of delay, God’s people had returned from exile but left His temple in ruins while focusing on their own homes. Through the prophet Haggai, God reminds them that misplaced priorities lead to emptiness. Yet He also assures them that when they put Him first, His presence and blessing return. These two chapters challenge us to realign our hearts, rebuild what’s been neglected, and find strength in the promise that “I am with you,” says the Lord.
📖 Overview of Haggai 1–2
🔹 Haggai 1 – A call to rebuild the temple and put God first.
🔹 Haggai 2 – God promises greater glory for the new temple and strength for His people.
💠 The Glory of Obedience
Haggai 1–2 reminds us that God’s blessings flow through obedience and right priorities. When we put Him first, He restores purpose, presence, and peace. What begins as small obedience ends in eternal glory, because God Himself dwells among His people.
