💖 Scripture of the Day
“Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause.” — Jeremiah 50:34
These chapters continue God’s messages of judgment against foreign nations, showing His authority extends far beyond Judah. Nations like Ammon, Edom, Damascus, Kedar, Hazor, and Elam are all warned of coming destruction because of pride, cruelty, or idolatry. Yet in the midst of these warnings, chapter 50 shifts to Babylon—the very empire God used to discipline Judah—promising its downfall for arrogance and oppression. These passages remind us that no nation is beyond God’s justice. Yet, for His people, there is hope: restoration is coming, and God will not abandon them forever.
