💖 Scripture of the Day:
“Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.” — Ezekiel 9:
These chapters paint a sobering picture of God’s judgment on Jerusalem. Ezekiel acts out symbolic warnings—shaving his head and beard, dividing the hair to show destruction and exile. God exposes the idolatry in His temple, a shocking betrayal of His holiness. Judgment is certain, yet it is not without purpose: God purifies His people to remind them that He alone is Lord. Ezekiel also witnesses God’s glory beginning to depart from the temple—a devastating sign of broken fellowship. These passages remind us of the seriousness of sin, the holiness of God, and the urgent call to faithfulness.
