💖 Scripture of the Day
“If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses?” – Jeremiah 12:5
In these chapters, Jeremiah wrestles with hard questions about God’s justice, especially why the wicked seem to prosper. The Lord answers by calling Jeremiah to greater endurance and showing that judgment will come in due time. Judah’s persistent rebellion is exposed through vivid imagery—such as a ruined belt—to illustrate their spiritual decay. Despite God’s warnings and the coming drought, the people continue in stubbornness, refusing to turn back to Him. Yet even here, we see God’s heart calling for repentance, longing to restore His people if they will only return.
