💖 Scripture of the Day:
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles…” – Isaiah 40:31
Isaiah 39–41 marks a dramatic shift in tone. Chapter 39 closes the historical section with a sobering warning about future captivity due to pride and shortsightedness. But in chapter 40, a new section begins—one filled with messages of comfort, restoration, and God’s everlasting strength. As the people face impending exile, God reminds them of His greatness, His faithfulness, and His promise to be with them. This section is filled with hope for the weary and reassurance that God’s word never fails.

📢 Hope After Warning
Isaiah 39–41 shows us that God’s justice does not cancel His compassion. He warns because He loves, and He comforts because He is faithful. In these chapters, we find the sobering consequences of pride and the soul-lifting promises of God’s eternal strength and presence. When our strength fails, His never does.

💬 Discussion Question
Why do you think God follows up messages of judgment with messages of comfort? How do both serve His purpose?
🙏 Prayer: Lord, thank You for being both just and merciful. When I stumble in pride or fear, remind me of Your power and Your presence. Help me to rely not on my own strength but on Your everlasting arms. Teach me to wait on You, and let my hope be rooted in Your unchanging character. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
