Love That Lasts:
Valentine’s Day is here! Everyone is buzzing with chocolates, flowers, and grand gestures of love. Whether you’re celebrating with a spouse, family, friends, or simply reflecting on love’s meaning, today is a reminder of something deeper—love that lasts, love that never fails, and love that is found in Christ.

Love in Every Season
For many, Valentine’s Day is a joyful celebration of romance, companionship, and connection. But for others, it can be a difficult day—one filled with loneliness, grief, or unmet expectations. No matter where this day finds you, know this: you are deeply and unconditionally loved by God.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” —Psalm 136:26
The world often portrays love as fleeting, based on emotions or circumstances. But God’s love is different. His love is steadfast, unchanging, and eternal. It’s not based on what we do or how we feel—it’s simply who He is.
The Greatest Love Story
The ultimate Valentine’s message is written in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God’s love isn’t just words—it’s action. He pursued us when we were lost, sacrificed everything to bring us back, and continues to walk with us every day.
In a world where love is often transactional—what can I get from this person?—God’s love is sacrificial. It gives without expecting in return. It lifts up instead of tearing down. It remains, even when we fail.
Loving Others Through Christ
As we celebrate love today, let’s not just focus on what we receive, but on how we give. The Bible reminds us:
“Let all that you do be done in love.” —1 Corinthians 16:14
Love is not just about romance—it’s about kindness, service, and selflessness. It’s the small, everyday moments of choosing patience, offering forgiveness, and extending grace. It’s loving our families well, encouraging our friends, and even showing love to those who are hard to love.
A Valentine’s Prayer
Lord, thank You for showing us what true love looks like. Help us to love as You love—selflessly, unconditionally, and with grace. Fill the hearts of those who feel lonely today, remind them of Your presence, and teach us to cherish and reflect Your love in all our relationships. Amen.
