September 23 – Day of Hospitality – How and to whom will you show hospitality today?
đź’– Scripture for the Day
“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” — 1 Peter 4:9–10
Reflection
Hospitality is far more than opening your home—it’s opening your heart. It’s the Spirit-led practice of making room for others, offering warmth, kindness, and care wherever you are. You don’t need a perfect home or an elaborate plan; you just need a willing heart.
The Holy Spirit cultivates hospitality within us by reminding us how God first welcomed us. When we make space for someone—through a listening ear, a meal, a text, or a simple act of care—we mirror the generous love of Christ.
Today, let your hospitality flow from gratitude. Every gesture of welcome is a reflection of the gospel—a reminder that God’s love has no boundaries and His table always has room for one more.
Daily Practice
Pray and ask God to bring someone to mind who needs encouragement or connection today. Then take a small step to show hospitality—invite them for coffee, share a meal, or simply check in and listen.
✍️ Journal Prompt
Who can you welcome or serve today? What small act of kindness could make someone feel seen, valued, and loved by God through you?
Prayer
Lord, Thank You for welcoming me into Your presence with open arms. Help me to show that same love to others. Open my eyes to those who need encouragement or belonging today. May my actions reflect Your heart of hospitality. Amen.
