September 18 – Today, fast for God to reveal any areas that you are not fully submitted to Him.
đź’– Scripture for the Day
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
Reflection
Submission is one of the greatest acts of trust. It means surrendering not just what we do, but who we are—our plans, desires, habits, and fears—to the loving authority of God.
Fasting creates sacred space for God to reveal what still holds us back from full surrender. Sometimes it’s control, pride, fear, or an attachment we’ve placed before Him. The Holy Spirit gently shines light on these areas, not to condemn us, but to free us.
True submission is not losing yourself—it’s finding your life in Christ. When you allow Him full access to your heart, you discover the peace and strength that come from walking in complete dependence on Him.
Daily Practice
As you fast today, ask God to show you any areas of your life that are not fully submitted to Him. Write down what He reveals and pray for the courage to surrender those areas completely.
✍️ Journal Prompt
What area of your life is hardest to surrender to God? Why? How might full submission in this area bring greater freedom and peace?
Prayer
Father, I open my heart before You today. Show me any place where I am holding back from full surrender. Help me to trust Your wisdom and goodness more than my own understanding. As I fast, reveal what needs to change and give me the grace to yield completely to You. Amen.
