💖 Scripture of the Day:

“For you who revere My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in its rays.” — Malachi 4:2

Malachi closes the Old Testament with both correction and comfort. Through the prophet, God exposes the halfhearted worship and unfaithfulness of His people — priests offering blemished sacrifices, and hearts growing cold in devotion. Yet, through His rebuke runs a golden thread of mercy. God calls His people to return to Him with sincerity, promising blessing and renewal. He reminds them that He is unchanging and that a day is coming when righteousness will triumph. In these final chapters before 400 years of silence, Malachi’s message points forward to the coming Messiah — the “Sun of Righteousness” who brings healing and restoration.

📖 Overview of Malachi 1–4

🔹 Malachi 1 – God rebukes Israel’s priests for offering dishonorable sacrifices.
🔹 Malachi 2 – A call to faithfulness in covenant, both with God and in marriage.
🔹 Malachi 3 – The Lord promises justice, calls for repentance, and foretells the coming of His messenger.
🔹 Malachi 4 – A prophecy of judgment and hope — the “Sun of Righteousness” will rise for those who fear the Lord.

💠 The Faithful God and the Rising Light

Malachi 1–4 closes the Old Testament with both a warning and a promise. God calls His people back to faithfulness, integrity, and true worship. Yet, He also assures them of His coming salvation — the Sun of Righteousness who brings healing and peace. These final words remind us that God’s story doesn’t end in judgment but in redemption, shining brighter than ever through Christ.
