These final chapters of Mark bring us to the heart of the gospel — the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the upper room, He breaks bread and offers the cup of a new covenant. In Gethsemane, His humanity and divinity meet in surrender to the Father’s will. On the cross, He bears our sin and shame, finishing the work of redemption. And at the empty tomb, we find hope that death is not the end. Mark 14–16 reminds us that the gospel is not a story of tragedy but of triumph — a love so deep it conquered sin and death forever.

📖 Overview of Mark 14–16

🔹 Mark 14 – The plot to kill Jesus, the Last Supper, His prayer in Gethsemane, betrayal, arrest, and Peter’s denial.
🔹 Mark 15 – Jesus is tried, crucified, mocked, and buried — yet even in death, a centurion proclaims, “Truly this man was the Son of God.”
🔹 Mark 16 – The resurrection: the tomb is empty, and the risen Lord sends His followers to proclaim the good news to all creation.

💠 Love That Overcame the Grave

Mark 14–16 reveals the heart of the gospel — the love that surrendered, the power that saved, and the victory that still transforms lives today. The cross reminds us of God’s justice and mercy, while the empty tomb assures us of His power to make all things new. Because Jesus lives, we can face tomorrow with faith and joy.
