💖 Scripture of the Day
“Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins.” — Jeremiah 51:6
These final chapters of Jeremiah bring the book to its solemn conclusion. Chapter 51 delivers God’s decisive word against Babylon, declaring its downfall after being used as His instrument of judgment. Despite Babylon’s might, its pride and cruelty would lead to destruction. Chapter 52 recounts the fall of Jerusalem, the burning of the temple, and the exile of God’s people. Yet even here, a glimmer of hope emerges in the release of King Jehoiachin from prison, showing that God’s promises remain alive. These chapters remind us that no power lasts forever but God’s kingdom, and even in judgment, His faithfulness endures.
