Happy Valentine’s Day! Today, as the world celebrates love in many ways, let’s take a moment to reflect on the truest, purest, and most unwavering love—the love of Christ.

The Love That Holds Us Together

Love is a beautiful gift from God, but in our human relationships, we often experience moments of brokenness, disappointment, and unmet expectations. That’s why it’s so important to build our love—whether in marriage, friendships, family, or community—on the foundation of His love.

“We love because He first loved us.”1 John 4:19

Jesus’ love is sacrificial, steadfast, and unshaken by circumstances. It’s not based on performance, emotions, or fleeting feelings. His love is constant, faithful, and transforming.

Rooted in Love

The Bible tells us that true love comes from God. It’s not just something we give; it’s something we receive first. When we are deeply rooted in His love, it overflows into our relationships.

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”Ephesians 3:17-18

Can you imagine a love so wide, so deep, so strong that it never fails? That’s the love Jesus has for you.

A Love That Transforms Our Relationships

When we experience the fullness of Christ’s love, it changes how we love others:

  • We love with patience and kindness. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
  • We love with humility and grace. (Philippians 2:3-4)
  • We love with forgiveness and mercy. (Colossians 3:13)

Today, let’s choose to love through Christ—not just with our own strength, but with the strength that comes from His Spirit within us.

Strengthen them, heal where there is brokenness, and let them reflect Your love. May I be rooted in Your love, so that I can pour it out to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
